Candle Care

CANDLE SAFETY:

Place your candle on a flat, heat resistant surface, away from children, pets and draughts. Never leave your candle unattended. Do not move or touch a burning candle as the vessel can get hot. Your candle is sensitive to light and temperature, so keep out of direct sunlight to prevent sweating or discolouring.

LIGHTING YOUR CANDLE:

To prevent tunnelling  please allow your wax to melt all the way to the edge of your vessel on the first burn. This will allow future burns to avoid tunnelling and will burn evenly.  If you do not do this, it will tunnel, effecting the quality and burn of your candle. Never burn your candle longer than 4 hours, and allow your candle to cool for  5 hours  before relighting it. 

CANDLE WICKS:

Please trim your wick to 5mm after each burn. This will prevent your flame from getting too big, give you an even burn and stop the wick from smoking. If you notice mushrooming on the end of the wick, simply trim the mushroom and removing any debris from your candle. This will encourage a clean burn.

STOP USING YOUR CANDLE:

Please stop using your candle when there is 5mm of wax left in the bottom of your  vessel. If a candle is burnt too low, it can crack or explode from the heat.
